Juice Cleanse: How to Plan the Right Routine

A juice cleanse planning scene with mixed cold-pressed bottles beside a weekly planner

A juice cleanse is easier to plan when you start with the bottle count, not a promise about how you will feel. PUR's full plans list six drinks a day. A 3-day plan lists 18 bottles, a 5-day plan lists 30, and a 7-day plan lists 42.

Mini plans list fewer bottles because two drinks a day are swapped for a meal you supply. This checklist shows how to line those numbers up with your calendar before you order.

Compare current juice cleanse plans

What should you count before you plan a juice cleanse?

Write down four facts from the product page you are looking at. How many days does the plan cover? How many bottles come in the whole plan? How many drinks are scheduled for one day? Does the plan include a meal, or only drinks? Those four answers tell you more than the program name.

On the current PUR product pages, the full Signature, Harmony, and Powerhouse plans share the same bottle math. Eighteen bottles cover 3 days. Thirty bottles cover 5 days. Forty-two bottles cover 7 days. Divide any of those totals by the number of days and you get six drinks a day. The Build Your Own cleanse says the same thing in plain language: each day includes six bottles you select.

Mini plans use a different count. The current Signature Mini, Powerhouse Mini, and Harmony Mini pages list 12 bottles for 3 days, 20 bottles for 5 days, and 28 bottles for 7 days. That is four bottled drinks a day, not six.

The older plan pages explain the gap: you opt out of two juices and replace them with a healthy meal. The meal is not in the box. If you need dinner with family, a mini plan is the format built for that, and you still plan the meal yourself.

One more pack sits outside both patterns. The Discovery Juice Cleanse is a 10-juice variety pack, not an 18-bottle 3-day plan. Its page says you can drink six juices on day one, then four juices plus a healthy dinner on day two. Treat that as a short tasting plan, and confirm the current contents before you assume it matches a full cleanse.

How do PUR juice cleanse plans differ?

The bottle math is the skeleton. The drink mix is what changes from one plan to the next. Use the table as a shopping framework, then open the live product page, because mix and availability can change. Do not read the table as a ranking of which plan is healthier.

Plan What the current page says is inside Bottles to plan around
Signature Fruit and vegetable juice for the day. The 3-day page names Sunny Citrus and Greens. 6 a day. Totals are 18, 30, or 42.
Harmony Juice plus nut milk. The 3-day page names choco mylk and vanilla almond mylk. 6 a day. Totals are 18, 30, or 42.
Powerhouse Juice plus plant protein. The 5-day page puts protein in four of six bottles. 6 a day. Totals are 18, 30, or 42.
Build Your Own You choose six bottles a day from juices, lemonades, and nut mylks. 6 a day. Totals are 18, 30, or 42.
Mini versions Same drink family, but two juices a day are replaced by a meal you provide. 4 bottled drinks a day. Totals are 12, 20, or 28.
Discovery pack Ten juices spanning Signature, Powerhouse, and Harmony flavors. Ten total. The page suggests 6, then 4 plus dinner.

A few numbers on the older duration pages are useful, and a few are not safe to copy forward. The 3-day and 5-day pages both put Signature near 1,250 calories a day and Harmony near 1,440. The 5-day page also puts Powerhouse near 1,430 and says the 5-day mini's bottled drinks are near 1,250 before you add your meal.

The 7-day page prints different calorie figures for the same program names. Because those pages disagree, use the calorie line only as a prompt to check the current label, not as a number to trust. The nutrition analysis page is the place to read item-level facts.

The same caution applies to health language on those pages. PUR is a food and beverage retailer, not a healthcare provider. A plan can tell you what is in the box. It cannot promise detox, a change in weight, or a medical result. If a page makes a stronger claim than the ingredient list supports, trust the ingredient list.

How do you match a juice cleanse to your week?

Once the bottle count is clear, put it on a real calendar. Six drinks a day only works if you can store them and reach them. Four bottled drinks plus a meal only works if you know what that meal is. Duration is a schedule choice, not a score. If you want help choosing among 3, 5, and 7 days, read how long a cleanse might last and then come back to the counts.

  1. Pick the days you will actually be home. Count workdays, travel, and dinners before you pick 3, 5, or 7 days. A longer plan is not a better plan if you cannot follow the storage directions.
  2. Mark six drink slots, or four plus a meal. For a full plan, sketch morning through evening with six bottles. For a mini plan, sketch four bottles and write down the meal that replaces the other two.
  3. Match the mix to what you already know you want. Signature stays with fruit and vegetable juice. Harmony adds nut milk. Powerhouse adds plant protein, including a protein cold brew on the 3-day description. Build Your Own lets you choose the six.
  4. Check delivery against your start date. Do not lock a Monday start until the current shipping window can land the box in time. The delivery guide covers how ordering works.
  5. Read storage for the exact products in the plan. Do not assume every bottle has the same keep-cold rule. If a direction is missing, ask before you order.
  6. Leave room to stop. If the routine does not suit you, or a clinician has told you a liquid plan is a poor fit, choose a smaller pack or skip it.

Here is a worked example. Suppose you want a 3-day Signature week with dinners out on two nights. The full plan is 18 bottles, six a day, and it does not include those dinners. The Signature Mini is 12 bottles across the same 3 days, because two drinks a day are the meal you add.

If you would rather taste several mixes before a full week, the Discovery pack is 10 juices. Its page already describes a 2-day use: six juices, then four juices plus dinner. Those are three different plans, even though someone might call all of them a cleanse.

Where wellness shots fit, and where they do not

Shots are an optional add-on, not a second cleanse length, and they do not change the juice bottle count. On the current Signature juice cleanse page, the add-on is labeled "+12 Wellness Shots" on the 18-, 30-, and 42-juice sizes. A separate product, the Ultimate Wellness Juice Cleanse, lists 24 wellness shots with an 18-, 30-, or 42-juice Signature plan. Those are two different offers. Read the variant name on the page you are buying, and do not assume every cleanse includes shots.

Shot flavor, timing, and label questions belong on the shot page. If shots are the thing you came to buy, start with the wellness shot combo or the wellness shot guide instead of a multi-day juice plan.

What should you verify on the label?

Bottle counts get you to the right product page. The label decides whether that page is actually a fit. Check each drink you will receive, not just the plan name. A Harmony day is not the same ingredient list as a Signature day, even when both plans ship six bottles.

  • Ingredients for every bottle in the day, including nut milks and protein drinks.
  • Allergens, especially tree nuts if the plan includes almond mylk.
  • Serving size, and whether one bottle is one serving.
  • Total sugars and added sugars, kept as two separate lines.
  • Storage and handling directions for that product.
  • Whether a meal is included or only described as something you add.

The 5-day Powerhouse description is a good example of why item-by-item reading matters. It says protein is added to four of the six bottles, not to all six. If protein is the reason you are considering that plan, confirm which four on the current page, then read how protein kits compare. Do not apply one bottle's protein line to the other two.

If you want a broader look at formats before you open a single product page, the kit buyer guide covers that choice. Use this article for the count, and that guide for which kit family to open.

What should you know about juice safety before you start?

Planning a routine does not answer whether a liquid plan is appropriate for you. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration explains that people at higher risk from foodborne illness should take care with unpasteurized juice, and that untreated juice may carry a warning label. Read the FDA's juice safety guidance and apply it to your own situation.

The University of Rochester Medical Center describes juice cleanses as liquid-only diets that can last from about a day to a week. It also explains why a cleanse should not be treated as a way to remove toxins. Its overview, Do Juice Cleanses Work?, is a useful check on broad claims.

Talk with a qualified clinician first if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, take medication, or have a history of disordered eating.

Process claims need the same care. PUR's current product pages describe the drinks as cold-pressed, with no preservatives and no added sugar called out on several plans. Older duration pages mention a different processing method. Those statements conflict, so this guide does not treat processing method as a settled fact. Check the bottle you are buying, and skip any shelf-life number you cannot find on that product.

A juice cleanse checkout checklist

Use this list on the product page with the plan still open. If a line is blank, that is a reason to pause, not a reason to guess.

  • Plan name and length: 3, 5, or 7 days, or the 10-juice Discovery pack.
  • Bottle total: 18, 30, or 42 for a full plan, 12, 20, or 28 for a mini, or 10 for Discovery.
  • Drinks per day: six, or four plus a meal you supply.
  • What the mix is: juice only, juice plus nut milk, juice plus protein, or a mix you build.
  • Optional shots: none, the Signature "+12 Wellness Shots" add-on, or the separate Ultimate Wellness offer with 24 shots. Shots do not replace a juice day.
  • Ingredients, allergens, total sugars, and added sugars for the bottles in the plan.
  • Storage directions and a delivery window that matches your start date.
  • A clinician's advice, if a liquid routine may not be appropriate for you.

Two gaps should stop the order. First, a page that names a duration but not the bottle count. Ask for the daily contents before you compare it with a plan that lists them. Second, a missing allergen or storage line for a drink you would actually receive.

Contact PUR through the contact page with the product name and the missing fact. The FAQ page is worth a look first, and the quiz can narrow formats if you do not yet know which family to open.

Frequently asked questions

How many bottles are in a PUR juice cleanse day?

Full Signature, Harmony, Powerhouse, and Build Your Own plans currently list six bottles a day. That is 18 bottles for 3 days, 30 for 5 days, and 42 for 7 days. Confirm the variant you select, because add-ons such as shots are extra and mini plans use a lower bottle count.

What is the difference between a full plan and a mini plan?

A mini plan lists four bottled drinks a day instead of six: 12, 20, or 28 bottles across 3, 5, or 7 days. The plan pages say you replace two juices with a healthy meal. That meal is not included in the bottle count, so you plan and supply it.

Does the Discovery pack count as a 3-day juice cleanse?

No. The current Discovery Juice Cleanse is 10 juices, not 18. The product page describes drinking six on day one and four plus a healthy dinner on day two. It is a way to taste Signature, Powerhouse, and Harmony styles before you commit to a full bottle count.

Can I add wellness shots to a juice cleanse plan?

Yes, on specific products, and the count is not the same on both. The Signature juice cleanse page offers a "+12 Wellness Shots" add-on on the 3-, 5-, and 7-day sizes. The Ultimate Wellness Juice Cleanse is a different product and lists 24 wellness shots with an 18-, 30-, or 42-juice plan. Neither add-on replaces the day's juices. For shot ingredients, use the shot product page rather than this planning guide.

How long should a juice cleanse last?

PUR currently sells these plans in 3-, 5-, and 7-day sizes, plus the shorter Discovery pack. There is no length that fits everyone. Choose a size whose bottle count and daily schedule match your week, and ask a clinician if you are unsure a liquid routine is appropriate for you.

The most useful plan is the one whose bottle count, daily schedule, and label you can confirm before checkout. Start with those facts, then pick the format that fits the week you actually have.
